In June 2002, a monumental book about the life and career of Mario Del Monaco, written by Elisabetta Romagnolo was published: a true masterpiece!!!Editor: Azzali, Parma.

Elisabetta Romagnolo:

She was born and lives in Vercelli, Italy. Graduated in the study of the Classics at the University of Pavia, she started her professional career teaching Latin and Greek at the Classcial Liceum of Vercelli, a profession she has returned to after experiences at universisites in Italy and abroad. She is author of several publications related to her academic education, but a series of circumstances have led her to bring into life this book, as a result of her love for opera and in particular Mario del Monaco. She is married with two sons.

I read this book a few days after its publication, and I cannot but admit to have been deeply moved on more than one occasion while doing so but the thing that struck me most was the realization that I had discovered the true artistic stature of the great tenor.This work should be read by all who love music and “Bel Canto” singing.
